Safari highlights: This is a 3 day adventure safari whereby you will be able to enjoy the best of
Kenya's scenery including the spectacular Rift Valley. You will visit Lake Naivasha, which is a
famous bird sanctuary and Hell's Gate National Park, one of the few Kenya parks where you can
walk or cycle while viewing wildlife. You will travel alone with our tour guide/driver who is very
conversant with the geology of the area, in a private tour van and will spend the nights at Fish Eagle
Inn which is situated by the shores of Lake Naivasha.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival - Nairobi - Lake Naivasha
Upon your arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly received by our
Representative, who will brief you about your safari before transferring you to your tour van and
departing for Lake Naivasha. This is a one hour drive from Nairobi City, so you will arrive before
lunch when you can take some photographs of birds and the lake. After lunch, you will have an
afternoon boat ride in Crescent Island, within the Lake region for a birding experience till evening.
Lake Naivasha is the highest and purest of all the Rift Valley Lakes at 1880 m above sea level. This
area is a birdwatcher's paradise with over 450 species of recorded birds in the area. A small islet on
the lake is home to a number of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a boat ride safari as they view wildlife
and birds from the tranquil lake. A private ranch (Kongoni Game Sanctuary) is located in the area
which is a home to lions, leopards, cheetah and some translocated Gravys zebras. Lunch, dinner and
overnight stay will be at Fish Eagle Inn or similar.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha - Hell's Gate National Park
After an early morning gaming drive, you will have breakfast then depart for Hell's Gate National
Park arriving in time for a game viewing drive around the park. Break for lunch then continue with
game viewing till evening when you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Hell's Gate National Park provides a truly panoramic picnic site, camping stop over and is also an
endless biodiversity which allows walking or cycling without an official KWS escort. It has
spectacular scenery, despite its rather alarming name, including the towering cliffs, water gouged
gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes and belching plumes of a natural geothermal steam.
It is a relatively small park cleft deep in the floor of the Rift Valley. In the undulating grasslands,
you can walk alongside herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, eland and hartebeest and Thompsons
Gazelle.
The park has a unique bird viewing hide which allows visitors to view and photograph the birds of
prey at a close range. The hide is booked as a small fee via the warden of the park. The Fischers
Tower is a high jagged volcanic plug that remained of an ancient volcano and is named after the
German explorer, Gustav Fischer. According to the local Maasai tradition, the rock is the petrified
figure of a chief’s daughter who turned around, against the dictates of tradition to take one last look
of her village before leaving to be married. The Ol Karia Geothermal Station also lies in this park,
being one of the hottest sources of natural steam in the world with an underground water
temperature of 304oC. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Fisherman's Camp or similar.

Day 3: Hell's Gate National Park - Nairobi - Departure

After breakfast, you will enjoy walking around park to the scenic gorge, the Geo thermal station,
and the hot springs. This park is also the only park where you can enjoy biking within the park.

Afterwards, you will depart for Nairobi stopping over for late lunch at the carnivore restaurant.
After lunch, you will be dropped off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on time for your
departure flight to your next destination.

numbers. Big cats are not hard to spot either including the elusive leopard, it is one of the few
places you are guaranteed to spot the famous Big Five on a single morning or afternoon.

Description
This tour will take you to some of Kenya's favourite destinations. Aberdare National Park, which
has a serene environment and a deck view from the hotel/lodge. Lake Bogoria, the favourite lake
for pink flamingos as well as home to the hot springs. And Lake Naivasha, which is always a
favourite destination when you want to unwind after a long drive. Head to Nairobi on the
following day marking the end of your safari.
Day1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park
At 08:00 am we will leave the hotel and head to Aberdare National Park. Arrive at Nanyuki
Town in time for lunch. After lunch proceed and check-in at the hotel/lodge, relax the drive to
the park for game drive in search of elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive
baboons, black and white Colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks among others.
Rare sightings include those of the giant forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African
wildcat, African civet cat, and the blue duiker. Visitors can indulge in picnics, trout fishing in the
rivers, and camping in the moorlands. Bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds
in the park, including the Jackson's Francolin, Sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds, and
plovers.
Day 2: Aberdare NP - Lake Bogoria National Reserve
After breakfast, check out and drive to lake Bogoria with packed lunch. Arrive and check in at
the camp/lodge for refreshments and relaxation, later head to the Lake, the lake lies in a trough
below the Ngendelel Escarpment, a sheer wall 600 meters (2,000 ft) high. The lake covers 32
square kilometres (12 sq. mi). It is geothermically active on the western shore, with geysers and
hot springs. The geologist J.W. Gregory described the lake in 1892 as "the most beautiful view in
Africa". The reserve is in a semi-arid area. The only major river feeding the lake is the Waseges
River, which rises on the northern slopes of the Aberdare Range. Have an afternoon game drive
in search of the most magnificent antelope, the greater kudu, and of other savannah wildlife.
Animals include Zebra, impala, gazelle, Klipspringer, buffalo, dik dik and Patas monkey, among
others. Predators include the leopard, cheetah, hyena, mongoose, jackal and Karakul cat. Dinner
and overnight at the lodge/camp.
Day 3: Lake Bogoria NR – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch. The
afternoon will be spent at leisure. You can choose to take a boat ride tour of the lake, which will
be payable directly at the hotel. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya, outside the town of
Naivasha in Nakuru County, which lies north west of Nairobi. It is part of the Great Rift Valley.

The name derives from the local Maasai name Nai'posha, meaning "rough water" because of the
sudden storms which can arise. The lake is home to a variety of types of wildlife including over
400 different species of bird and a size-able population of hippos. Between 1937 and 1950, the
lake was used as a landing place for flying boats on the Imperial Airways passenger and mail

DAY 3: Masai Mara -AMBOSELI

After breakfast, Drive through the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway arriving on time for lunch. Relax in the camp getting ready for the afternoon game drive starting from 3:00 pm. Amboseli National Park is famous for its big game – elephants, lions, and cheetahs are the main attractions – and for its great scenic beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed – Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava-strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored. DAY 4: FULL GAME DRIVE AT AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Leave the camp after breakfast with packed picnic lunch to be served in the park. Enjoy a full day game drive where you will enjoy seeing animals against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain. You will be amazed by the number of elephants that are residents here as well as the number of bird species among them migratory birds. 4 of the big five are also residents here so you can look forward to a fun-filled day. Later during the game drives, you will alight as you reach the observation hill. The observation Hill is in the centre of the plain offering a wonderful relaxation on top of the hill as you enjoy the smooth cool winds from the East of Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s the only place that allows you to see everything going on around in the park including watching the rest of the other attractions around the park. The observation point gives a great view of the landscape in Amboseli from the swamps where the Hippos and Elephants feed, the large-herds of Elephants move to and from in the centre of the park, the flamingos, Buffalos, Giraffes, wildebeest, Burch ells Zebras, Lions and Gazelles are all very common and can all be seen while at this view point but the rest of some other wildlife species and the birdlife are visible with the use of Binoculars Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

the park, where they share the cool waters with the hippos and hide beneath the papyrus.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park
Rise early for breakfast and leave the camp with our picnic lunch boxes ready for a great full day
adventure. The park is home to a large resident population of Burchell’s zebras. Other herbivores
include Thomson’s and Grants gazelles, buffalo, warthog, Maasai giraffe, impala, water buck and
dik-dik. Baboons and Vervet monkeys inhabit the scarce woodlands. Carnivores are represented by lions, spotted hyenas, wild cats, jackals, caracals and cheetahs. With regards to birds, more than 400
species of birds have been registered, among which outstand pelican, flamingo, kingfisher, African
fish eagle, ibis, secretary bird, crowned crane, grey and Goliath herons, cattle egret, black-winged
stilt, little grebe, Egyptian goose, martial eagle, pigmy falcon, masaai ostrich, white backed vulture,
lappet faced vulture, yellow-necked spur fowl, kori bustard and hornbills. After the rains, the park
gathers large flocks of water birds.

Day 3: Amboseli-Tsavo West National Park
Rise up early for breakfast, check out and depart Amboseli National Park for Tsavo West National
Park via the Shetani lava flow. We will arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch
with a little time to relax before we head out for our evening game drive between 1600hrs to
1830hrs. Tsavo West is wetter and topographically more varied with some of the most beautiful
scenery in the northern reaches of the park. Highlights here are Mzima Springs, a series of natural
springs with large populations of hippos and crocodiles, Chaimu Crater, and a great spot for
spotting birds of prey. Wildlife is not as easy to see in Tsavo West because of the dense vegetation,
but the beautiful scenery more than compensates.

Day 4: Tsavo West National Park-Tsavo East National Park

Park is famous for photo-worthy sightings of large elephant herds rolling and bathing in red dust.
The palm-fringed Galana River twists through the park providing excellent game viewing and a
lush counterpoint to the arid plains. Other highlights here include the Yatta Plateau, the world's
longest lava flow, Mudanda Rock, and the Lugard Falls, which spill into rapids and crocodile-filled pools.

Valley escarpment arriving on time for lunch at the Jarika County Lodge. Proceed for an late
afternoon game drive from 16:00hrs to 18:30 hours. This park is home to eye-catching flocks of the
Greater and lesser flamingos which color the shores of the lake pink. The park has the highest
concentration of birds with over 450 bird species recorded here which include pelicans, egrets,
plovers and storks. It is also one of the few places that you will see the endangered black and white
rhino as well as the Rothschild giraffe. Return to Jarika County Lodge in the evening for dinner and
overnight.

We start our safari by driving to Hell’s Gate National Park, Hell’s Gate National Park lies
to the south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya, North West of Nairobi. The park, which is mainly,
comprised of savannah ecosystem harbors a wide variety of wildlife. There are over 100
species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, augur buzzard, and
swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboons are also
common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru NP
An early morning pick up then drive to the most famous lake Nakuru. Known all over the
world for its flamingos, it’s alkaline and is recognized as being one of the natural wonders
of the world. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40
black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingoes, of course, have always been the main
attraction. At times there may be lots of flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly
beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. Arrive in time for lunch then
have an afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve
An early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, it holds on as one of the few
places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that
once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti
ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of
Wildebeest, Zebras and attendant predators. Arrive in time for lunch then have an

Day 4 & 5: Masai Mara
After breakfast we have a full day dame drive, with packed lunch provided. The reserve is
well known for its black-manned lion, as well as its abundant resident wildlife and its one
of the few places where it’s possible to see the big five during a morning’s game drive.
Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle
and several even climb onto the roof to get better view of prospective prey. For the bird
enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, plus
many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including

Day 2: Maasai Mara
Early morning game drive and return to your camp for breakfast. After breakfast, full day spent in
the park with packed lunch looking for the famous Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and
buffalo. Lions are especially common here, and have grown relatively accustomed to their twolegged visitors, which makes them easier to spot. The Mara Plains are teeming with wildebeest,
zebra, giraffe, impala and Thomson's gazelle. Cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are also seen regularly
in the Reserve. At the Mara River large amounts of hippos and crocodiles are enjoying themselves -
the crocodiles are especially happy in early July to end of September when thousands of wildebeest
migrate across the river causing a sumptuous feast for the hungry crocodiles. Birdlife in Maasai
Mara are abundant and diverse. Species such as eagles, ostriches, storks and vultures are among the

and watch giraffes, zebras, and photograph them at the very close range. Alternatively, go to hell’s
gate for biking safari, walking safari for a close encounter with the game drive without fearing

the film Born Free, a 1966 Technicolor British drama film starring Virginia McKenna and Bill
Travers as Joy and George Adamson, a real-life couple who raised Elsa, an orphaned lion cub, to
adulthood. Some of Kenya’s largest herds of buffalo are found here and so is the elusive leopard.
Other animals you can look forward to seeing include. cheetah, hippo, zebra, giraffe, hartebeest,
oryx, oribi, waterbuck, … and abundant birdlife with over 400 recorded species. You will stay in a
luxury tented camp for the two nights as you explore the park.

Day 3-4: Samburu Game Reserve
You will be transferred by road to Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp, located in the heart of the semi
desert Samburu National Reserve, along the Rift Valley province. Here elephants, lions, buffalo,
giraffe and zebra move along the the river that cuts through this reserve, crocodiles often found
lounging on the riverbanks. Drawing its name from the Samburu people of Kenya who call the area
home, and made famous by the Adamsons' who inspired the book and movie Born Free, this
comfortable tented camp is a wonderful introduction to safari style in Kenya. Game driving
happens twice a day along the savannah amidst acacia trees, forest and thorn trees to spot the many
different animals that can be found in the reserve. They have camel rides lead by the local villagers,
where you can get a different vantage point of the area and the wildlife as well as support the
community. The Samburu are well know star gazers so taking part in a star gazing experience to
learn from them is well worth it.

In the heart of Kenya’s Laikipia region, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a shining example of

a sanctuary for Southern whites and critically endangered black rhino, as well as chimpanzee. In the
heart of it all is Alex Hunter’s charming bush camp of the same name, where traditional game
drives and walks in Big 5 territory are offered alongside visits to the projects - truly a place to
discover the best of both worlds. There is a definite focus on conservation at Ol Pejeta and visits to
the Endangered Species Enclosure to see the Northern white rhino and to the chimpanzee sanctuary

park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra,
eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to

Day 2: Lake Nakuru
An early morning pick up then drive to the most famous lake Nakuru. Known all over the world for
its flamingos, it's alkaline and is recognized as being one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake
Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos,
but the flamingoes, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be lots of
flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the
lake shore. Arrive in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive.

Day 4 & 5: Masai Mara exploration
After breakfast we have a full day dame drive, with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well

are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one's vehicle and several even climb onto the
roof to get better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been

Day 2: Lake Nakuru NP
An early morning pick up then drive to the most famous lake Nakuru. Known all over the
world for its flamingos, it’s alkaline and is recognized as being one of the natural wonders
of the world. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40
black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingoes, of course, have always been the main
attraction. At times there may be lots of flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly
beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. Arrive in time for lunch then
have an afternoon game drive.

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

You will be received by your safari driver guide at the hotel or airport and a brief itinerary given then proceed to Samburu national reserve arriving for check-in and lunch. Relax after lunch and settle in before the afternoon game drive at 1600hrs in search of wild animals and birdlife at the reserve. Return to the camp before dusk for dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Samburu Camp.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

At 07:00 am after breakfast you will have a full day game drive with packed picnic lunch and continue with your game drive till 4:30 P.M and return to the camp to freshen up, dinner, bonfire and overnight at the camp. The Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. In the middle of the reserve, the Ewaso Ng’iro flows through doum palm groves and thick riverine forests. It provides water, without which the game in this arid region could not survive. The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves.

Day 3: Samburu NR – Lake Nakuru NP

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in south-western Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos.
